Team | Frame | Why

Being that it is March Madness, and we are having way to much fun with it. Lookmatic has decided to do something a little different and compare Lookmatic Frames with NCAA Teams.

Why? Well, each one of our frames is more than a simple accessory. Lookmatic Frames have personality, they have flair. Some of them are underdogs, some of them are tested champions of the consumer heart. It is only fitting that they have the opportunity to compete as well!

So, below is a list of Lookmatic Frames that will be associated with a team during March Madness. If one of the teams associated with a Lookmatic Frame wins, that frame will go on sale next month.

Who are you cheering for now?

Kentucky | FDR

Like Kentucky, FDR frames are strong, bold, and make it look so easy. Sure they might be turning into the unknockable champions but they’ve earned their position as top dog.

Virgina | Davenport

Simple but effective might be the best way to describe the Virginia/Davenport comparison. Not the extravagant pick, but a smart pick to win it all.

Gonzaga | Evelyn

Gonzaga might be preparing to break that glass slipper that they’ve worn in the past. What better frame to do this than with Evelyn? The frame that on second thought you think,”huh, they do look really good on me.”

Wisconsin | Ricky

Wisconsin could make a huge statement in making it back to back Final Fours. Ricky can make a statement in the right environment. Ricky Red + Badger Red? Great match. Watch out for a Kentucky rematch!

Duke | Maxine

Duke had some great wins this year: Wisconsin, Louisville, and Michigan St. But they’ve had some consistency issues. Maxine is a knockout with the right outfit. If Duke can find the right “outfit” watch out.

Villanova | Avery

There is just something about Avery. Like Nova, Avery Frames are slick, smooth, and you can’t help but to think, “why not Avery?” A bad loss to Georgetown does not stop a great team from being great, it just makes us doubt.

Kansas | Bel Air

Do you want a team that looks good in most situations? Capable of fighting against the cream of the crop and pulling through. Sure you might make a few dressing mistakes with Bel Air but you have some serious diversity to choose from. Plus, Kansas lost to Kentucky awhile back…

North Carolina | Ace

Who has the coolest jersey in college basketball? Not the flashiest, the coolest? North Carolina classic baby blue takes the cake. Which Lookmatic Frames are the coolest? Not the flashiest, the coolest? Ace baby pink takes the cake.

Louisville | Jesse

Not quite elite, but better than most ACC teams, Louisville has enjoyed a long run of success. Jesse has too enjoyed runs as bestseller, not anymore, but the uncrowned king can rise again.

Baylor | Harper

Who did they lose from last year? Oh yeah Corey Jefferson, Isaiah Austin, and Brady Heslip. Yet they are still hanging around, just hanging around. Harper has long been that frame that is just hanging around waiting for its moment of glory.

Wichita State | Parker

Last years miraculous run was predicted to end in the tournament, but we all hoped anyways. Maybe not as good as last year, but still a team that will garner a lot of support, just like Parker Frames always have strong support.

Oregon | Pris

Oregon has a long history of flashy jerseys. Amber and Tokyo Tortoise are oh so flashy. Watch out for the Oregon Ducks…all it takes is a few people saying “hey, how about those ducks?” Same thing with Pris. “Hey, how about those Pris Frames?”

Northern Iowa | Morgan

Northern Iowa is a bit of a surprise this year. Not a big name program but showing their talent. Like Morgan Frames they might not be the big names but they deserve some respect just the same.

Butler | Darcy

Butler is the true story of Cinderella. Ever since they made back-to-back National Championships they have shed those rags and have held their heads high. Proving that they will be here for years to come, just like beautiful Darcy.

VCU | Slims

VCU plays small ball better than anyone else in the country, but then again they have always been a small ball team. Slims are smaller frames that might not stand out as much, but, like VCU, size isn’t everything.

Harvard | Hobbs

Coming from Harvard suggests intelligence. Yet being a top 68 team in the country suggests some toughness. Mix intelligent with tough and you’ve got Hobbs Frames.

Cincinnati | Tippi

The Bearcats have some serious claws. Maybe not as talented as the rest of the field; they will go down fighting, clawing until they end. They’ve got some fight in them, just like Tippi.

Utah | Lucy

Why is no one talking about Utah! Because they lost a few games down the stretch? They might be undersized, they might not have as much talent, but…they could do some bustin’. Lucy might be undersized, you might not expect much, but watch you, you might fall in love with her.

Iowa St. | Clark

Straight up, you get what you see. To the point. Go score, play defense, go score. Thrills aside you can’t go wrong with picking Iowa St. You can’t go wrong with Clark Frames, they just work.

SMU | Abby

Under Larry Brown SMU is playing some old school basketball. Crisp passing, good post skills. Absolutely don’t overlook this throwback team. Abby has that retro quality, sometimes the best ways are the old ways.

Providence | Vesper

Providence has consistency issues. Sometimes they look great, other times they lack the look. Vesper Frames look good with the right outfits and face shape, but put them in the wrong situation and ehh…

Indiana | Payton

Indiana is a sexy pick, not really a good pick, but a sexy pick. They have the history, a few good wins, some really bad losses, but they started strong and ended meek. A top 10 offense according to KenPom but a bad defense. Payton is all about the offense, an effective “wow.” Maybe not practical, but “wow.”

Oklahoma | Marilyn

Just like VCU and Slims, Oklahoma and Marilyn are a bit undersized, but that has not stopped them from being a good pick. No the only difference is one is flashier than the other.

Iowa | Holly

Perhaps overshadowed by Iowa St., Iowa has preserved in a tough Big Ten Conference. Holly might get overlooked but don’t count her out, there is good chance when you do a double take she might catch your eye.

Arkansas | Shelby

Not enough people are talking about Arkansas. One of the best offensive teams in the nation and a good assists team as well. Sure they lost big to Kentucky, but everyone kind of did that. Why are more people not talking about Shelby, no clue.
